    When to Immunise

    New flu vaccines become available each year in March. We offer on-site clinics from March onwards, with vaccination being most effective in the months leading up to winter – typically March through June.

  • No. The vaccine contains inactivated (killed) virus fragments that cannot cause infection. Some people experience mild side effects like soreness or low-grade fever – this is your immune system responding, not the flu.

  • Flu strains change each year, and immunity from vaccination decreases over time. Annual vaccination ensures you are protected against the most current strains.

  • March to June is optimal, as this provides protection before the peak flu season (June–September). However, vaccination is beneficial at any time.

  • Yes. For housebound seniors or individuals with disabilities, we offer in-home vaccination appointments. Please call us to discuss.

  • Cell-based and recombinant flu vaccines are egg-free. We can provide these options for individuals with confirmed egg allergies. Please let us know when booking.

  • Please enquire separately about COVID-19 vaccinations. We offer these alongside flu clinics where available.

  • Each individual receives a vaccination record. For organisations, we provide a summary report of participants vaccinated (de-identified).
